I am licensed as a professional counselor in Washington, DC and am BPC’s referral coordinator.
When you are facing turmoil and pain or major transitions in your life, I can help you. I can work with you to identify factors in the past and/or the present that are contributing to what you are experiencing. Then we would clarify your strengths and those things that you value and which give meaning to your life. I find that being clearer about these things frequently helps in resolving whatever difficulties you are facing.
I see my job as creating a calm, safe environment, listening carefully, and providing feedback. I have training and experience working with bisexual, gay, heterosexual, and lesbian clients dealing with depression, anxiety, spiritual issues, relationship problems, grief and loss, and life transitions.
I hold a masters degree in pastoral counseling from Loyola College and have completed advanced training in the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery & Music (GIM). I am a member of the American Counseling Association and the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and am a Fellow of the Association for Music and Imagery.
I joined BPC in 1997 and provide psychotherapy services there to adult individuals and couples.
